              Voice and Data Engineer

●        Manage the installation and activation of Cbeyond’s voice and data services with installation techs, ILEC resources and Customer vendors.

●        Implement and configure voice services:  PRI, CAS, SIP and Analog

●        Working knowledge of Broad Works Application Server, Cisco BTS Soft Switches, Cisco Routers and ACME SBC.

●        Experience provisioning SIP customers via Broadsoft Platform to PBX solutions such as Asterisk, Cisco UC 500, and Avaya IP Office.

●        Troubleshoot voice services using q.931, q.921, SIP, and MGCP protocols, G711, G729 codecs, Agilent, Empirix and Wire Shark Network analyzers.

●        Configure Cisco 2400 series IADs, and 2900 series ISRs, Cisco 10K Trunk Aggregation Routers and ASR 1000 series routers and VPN Concentrators.

●        Coordinated the installation and testing of Unbundled Network Elements (UNE’s) for Competitive Local Exchange Carriers (CLEC’s) in the Bellsouth operating region.

●        Acted as a liaison between Bell and the CLEC, by reviewing with them their service order billing to ensure that what they requested was correct, and to keep them updated on the progress of their product installation.

●        Executed the testing of UNE circuits, like designed and non-designed POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service), as well as a broad range of complex circuits such as xDSL, T1’s, DID’s, Primary rate and Basic rate ISDN’s, Channelized and Nonchannelized megalinks.

●        Team Leader in load control, maintained an efficient flow of work between circuit testers and screeners, and balanced the workload for all electronic technicians.

●        Prepared the daily Main Web Report, in spreadsheet form, for the Cwins center.

●        Tested and maintained xDSL, Frame relay, BRI and PRI, circuits out to CSU/DSU.
